Job title: Head Counselor (Age 21+)
When: June-August 2026
Locations: Charlottesville
Description:
Love the outdoors and working with kids? We have the job for you! Virginia Outside is hiring for a Counselor position for our Summer Outdoor Youth Programs. Applicant must be comfortable working outside, work well in groups, be responsible, adaptive, and outgoing. Flexible hours, competitive pay, and a fun work environment! Spend time outside teaching kids the basics of fishing, biking, hiking, kayaking/canoeing, rock climbing, and other fun outdoor activities! It is a great opportunity to network with the outdoor community in our area.
Our Day Camps operate from June – August. Counselors generally work Mon-Fri, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM, with occasional weekend work opportunities as well.
